The mission of the Cradle of Aviation Museum is twofold: to engage all ages in the exploration of our aerospace heritage by preserving and displaying Long Island’s contribution to air and space travel; and to inspire, motivate, and stimulate our youth to be the next generation of aerospace scientists and engineers. We achieve our mission through our growing exhibit collection and our ever expanding educational programs.
Boy Scouts Merit Badge Mini Camp
Scout Your Way to Merit Badge Mastery!
Come to our annual Boy Scout Mid-Winter Four Badge Mini-Camp, where you'll conquer FOUR exciting merit badges in just three days!
Scouts enrolled will complete camp with the Astronomy, Aviation, Robotics, and Energy Merit Badges.
Please note: The requirements for each badge will be broken up over three days so that no one badge will be completed in a single day. The museum does not provide patches.
Dates: Tuesday, February 18th – Thursday, February 20th
Time: Drop-off at 9 AM, Pick-up at 3 PM sharp
Dress: Class “B” uniforms
Cost: $225 per scout (non-member), $200 (member)
Scouts must provide Blue Cards and bring a brown bag lunch or lunch money. A one-hour lunch break at noon is included.
Space is limited, and reservations are required.

Certified counselors lead all Boy Scout Merit Badge programs at the Cradle of Aviation. Sorry, non-scout siblings are not allowed in Scout programs.
