The mission of the Cradle of Aviation Museum is twofold: to engage all ages in the exploration of our aerospace heritage by preserving and displaying Long Island’s contribution to air and space travel; and to inspire, motivate, and stimulate our youth to be the next generation of aerospace scientists and engineers. We achieve our mission through our growing exhibit collection and our ever expanding educational programs.
Cadettes and Juniors - Girl Scout Saturday
Join us on Saturday, April 19th, for an exciting day of exploration and discovery designed for Cadette and Junior Girl Scouts!
Cadettes - Night Owl
10 am - 11:30 am
90-minute program, $21 per Scout
Explore the night sky, learn about constellation legends, and make a star finder. Scouts will experiment with glow-in-the-dark and fluorescent objects and discover the dark world of bioluminescent creatures.
Juniors - Space Science Investigator
12:30 pm - 2 pm
90-minute program, $25 per Scout
Explore the cosmos and uncover the vastness of our solar system! Scouts will learn about the distances between Earth, stars, planets, and the Sun, dive into constellations and their stories, and create a 3D solar system model.
Available for both Troop bookings and individual scouts.
Space is limited, and reservations are required.
