28th Annual Long Island Festival of Trees
Hours:
Friday and Saturday: 10 am – 6pm;
Sunday: 10 am – 5 pm
$15 per adult ($10 for members)
$10 per child (2-12) ($6 for members)
A $1 per ticket online processing fee will be added at check-out.
Library passes are not valid for this event!
This event is renowned for its spectacular array of designer-decorated trees and gingerbread village. Features continuous live entertainment, Santa, vendor marketplace, children’s activities, Department 56 village and display, and more! All trees and gingerbread are for sale. Visit the CP Nassau Toy and gift shop for great bargains. Santa will be there and great photo opportunities will be everywhere you look! All proceeds raised benefit the Cerebral Palsy Association of Nassau County, Inc. (CP Nassau) and the Cradle of Aviation Museum.
Hundreds of Designer Trees on Display
These trees are all for sale and, in addition, there will be 2 ½ ft trees in all different themes and wreaths and swags for sale with all the proceeds going to CP Nassau. The sales desk for the large trees will be located right near the gigantic 12 foot tree in the main Festival area. Bids will be taken for all the trees and the tree will be sold on Sunday to the highest bidder. There will be some “buy now” possibilities too!
Entertainment
There will be continuous entertainment including many talented dance and choral groups. Liat Gayr, a dancer with Leggz Ltd. Dance of Rockville Centre and a student at Hewlett High School has danced at the Festival of Trees for many years, comments, “As a member of the Leggz ensemble, my participation is a great experience and it helps the cerebral palsy center. How amazing it is for us dancers to get to do what we love and help people with disabilities in the process.” Jade Skinner, a 10 year-old from Hempstead will be dancing at this year’s Festival for the first time says, “ I’m so happy to raise awareness for CP Nassau! I’m a little nervous when I start on the stage but when I am finished, I feel happy and confident!” Look for lots of costumed characters too!
Decorate a Cookie
Located in Hangar 2 – kids will have the great opportunity to decorate a cookie with lots of gooey icing and fun toppings! Let’s see how creative you can be!
Gingerbread
Culinary students from the Barry Tech Institute in Westbury are creating original gingerbread creations!
Dept. 56
This amazing shop will be filled to the brim with pieces that collectors will love including many hard- to-find and retired pieces! Great prices on all! The display is truly beautiful and will be a joy to behold! 100% of the proceeds from the shop go directly to programs and services at CP Nassau! Vendors
There will be lots of vendors selling all sorts of great items and you can do all your holiday shopping at the Festival and avoid the lines at the Mall and find terrific things at great prices!
